Privacy Policy
GetVisibility (“GetVisibility”, “we”, “us” or “our”) designs, builds and hosts websites for local businesses. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect when you visit our website, create an account or use our services, how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us. When you create an account or book a call we collect:
- Your name, email address and mobile phone number, including the country code.
- Your business name, business type, city and current website address, if you have one.
- A password, which we store only as a secure hash. We never see or store your plain-text password.
- Content you send us to build your website, such as your logo, photos, services, prices and opening hours.
- Anything you tell us in emails, calls, chat messages or support requests.
Payment information. Payments are processed by Razorpay. Your card or bank details are entered directly with Razorpay and never reach our servers. We receive and store a payment reference, the amount, the status of your subscription and the last four digits or payment method type where Razorpay provides them.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites we receive technical data such as your IP address, browser type, device, pages visited and the time of your visit. We use this to keep the service secure, to limit abuse (for example rate limiting signup attempts) and to understand how the site is used.
2. How we use your information
- To create and manage your account and build, launch and host your website.
- To process your setup fee and monthly subscription, and to send receipts and billing notices.
- To contact you about your project, including kickoff calls, previews and revisions.
- To send service emails such as account confirmation, signup resume links and payment confirmations.
- To provide your client dashboard, where you manage your site and the leads it generates.
- To respond to your questions and provide support.
- To detect, prevent and investigate fraud, abuse and security incidents.
- To comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information.
3. Cookies
We use a small number of strictly necessary cookies. A signup session cookie keeps your place while you create your account and pay. It expires after a few hours. Your client dashboard uses a login cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising cookies on this website. Third-party services embedded on our site, such as our booking calendar and payment checkout, may set their own cookies under their own privacy policies.
4. Who we share information with
We share personal information only with providers that help us run the service, and only as needed for that purpose:
- Razorpay for payment processing and subscription billing.
- Resend for sending transactional email.
- MongoDB Atlas and our hosting providers for storing data and serving the website and dashboard.
- Our booking calendar provider when you schedule a call with us.
- Our designers and copywriters, who work on your website under confidentiality obligations.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights, or as part of a business transfer such as a merger or acquisition, in which case this policy will continue to apply to your information.
5. Your website and your customers’ data
The website we build for you includes contact and booking forms. Information that your customers submit through those forms belongs to you and is stored in your client dashboard. We process it on your behalf and do not use it for our own purposes. You are responsible for publishing an appropriate privacy notice on your own website.
6. How long we keep information
We keep your account information for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards to handle billing questions, disputes and legal obligations. Incomplete signups that are never paid for are deleted after a short period. You can ask us to delete your account at any time; see section 8.
7. Security
We protect your information with encryption in transit, hashed passwords, signed requests between our systems, rate limiting and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work hard to protect your data and will notify you if a breach affects you as required by law.
8. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. You can update most of your details from your dashboard. For anything else, email us at hello@getvisibility.com and we will respond within 30 days. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
9. Children
Our services are for businesses and are not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
10. International transfers
We and our providers may store and process information in countries other than your own, including the United States and India. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for those transfers.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the new version on this page and update the date at the top. If the changes are significant we will email account holders.
